    Alright.

I installed AutoMZ and ran it and it screwed up my system. I got the scroll lock coming on at some starts, my internet connection has been screwed, and my pC seems to be slower overall. I ran my backup, but that did **** else. I don't want to do a system restore because I have done a lot of other things (program wise) since then, and I don't feel like doing it over again.

Anyone know exactly what that POS does? So I can go and manually unfuc% what it fuc%^ed.

    Thanks. :)

    1. Chances are you'll have a recent system restore point you can use. It will work. Go check.
    2. I and others have posted elsewhere how to undo the worst things AutoMZ does - numlock and too-quick shutdown delay. Do a search for AutoMZ and my name, should help.

My scroll-lock is the issue actually, but I will be sure to check it out!

Anyone have any idea about the network settings? That's the thing that's the most annoying, it now disconnects a lot.

I learned the hard way, these "press 1 button and we will change 21390482u30984u settings," programs should be avoided at all cost. I feel like going and shooting the Flamingo dude in the foot for recommending the program. :p

Well... its works well for me and some of the people including flamenko himself.

Yes, i do agree that for those who haven't try... should avoid it.

Np, its not your fault. No one will expect the program to act differently from one machine to another.

Maybe next time you should recruit a test team.... hahaha!

Ya ahh, I guess the point of this thread has been missed.

The point was not to ask opinions about the program, rather, it was to find a solution for a problem. That problem being random disconnects from a wireless network that began after the program had been run.

Thought I should clarify that, as most have seemingly missed the point.

Since nobody really knows what the program does exactly, nobody can tell you how to undue what it has done. The author of the program provided no documentation about what the program does under the hood.

People who apply those tweaks should always remember,

Proceed at your own risk :)

You have done a great job anyway, flamenko ;)

Alright. Fair enough. All I needed to hear. Thanks. :)

    HaOkepa:

It's not like I am bashing Flamenko holmes, I was simply looking for a solution to a problem. But I guess you didn't pick that up in the first post, nor picked it up in the second post where I clarify the intent, and who knows, maybe you still won't get the point even after this. Oh well.

I honestly didn't see any aggression on his post he was just stating that it is a proceed with caution type deal. But anyways I hope you get this problem fixed and your computer back to your liking.

The internet connection problem was not identified previously to my knowledge.

I understand yr frustration and only post that others have no problems to give us all an opportunity to try and figure out what the differences are that cause the problems...and then how we can fix it. Unfortunately, with this program much of the causation is unknown.

We do know, however, that on systems with password control, the powerful optimization turns cap lock on which then causes problems when you enter passwords. They had found a cure for that in another thread.

So....Im sure no malice in intended by anyone. Lets just continue to discuss and find the reason and fix for problems experienced.

    nu_D,

Actually I have to thank those, including you, for the warning. As I intended to use the program at first.

    Good luck my friend ;)
