I'm on a Sager 2090 with XP, and Bluetooth works fine, I use it for a remote, but I would like to automatically shut it down when I am on a battery. Maybe do the same for wifi. Are there programs that could do this?

I don't have the built in bluetooth module for my NP2090, but there is a wireless switch on the front of the laptop that turns off the laptop's WiFi (and maybe the bluetooth as well). Check out sagernotebooks.com and go to the support section for the driver downloads. The program is called WSS or Wireless Select Switch which makes the WiFi switch at the front operable.

Oh I know about that, but it shuts off both, when sometimes you just want BT off. Though it is a cool feature.

I don't know about Sager, but check the control panel for your laptop switch...

On my Dell i1520 I can have the wireless switch set to shut off WiFi, Bluetooh, or Both.

I think you'll probably have a hard time finding a program that does what you want so I wrote a VBS script that will do what you specified. The code is below and the files for this program have been attached as a Zip. You should read the comments in the code to know how to install it.

The code was similar in concept to my previous thread on Tweaking Hardware with Batch Files and there are screenshots in that thread if you don't know where to find the hardware ID for your Bluetooth.
