yep, autotune, which makes your singing sounding perfect, even while you don't hit the notes at all. used by cher, kanye west, etc.. :)

(i think you might have ment something else :)).

ccleaner and defraggler together "tune your system", other than that, i normally never touch a system, as, since vista, it performs great out of it's own mostly. if not, report what is the problem and it might be a simple fix..

Actually, it's possible that he did actually want a program to tune his voice or musical instrument. I mean, look at his avatar...

Yeah I was actually talking about the voice-correction program many contemporary hip-hop artists use.

    guess what, it's called autotune

    :)

it pops up in google when searching for it..

    from antarestech

similar effects on a different way can be reached (and with much more fun) by building a talkbox, and playing music trough your mouth, layering voices over the sound of your syntesizer or guitar. i'll build a cheap one during my holidays in two weeks, can't wait to sound like daftpunk and similar :)

If you're looking for a free solution check out GSnap:
    http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Audio-Plugins/GSnap.shtml

It's a VST plugin, so you'll need some sort of recording software that is compatible VSTs in order for it to work. From what I have gathered/tested, it is pretty comparable to the Antares plugin, although it may be (slightly) inferior in quality.

This downloads a .dll file, how do I use this?

It depends on the recording program you are using. Most recording programs have a " VST Plugins" folder that can be accessed through the Program Files folder (once again, the exact location of the VST folder will vary by the program you are using). Drag (or copy) the .dll file into this folder - you should then have the VST plugin ready to use next time you boot the program (you should find it where other effects such as reverb, delay, etc. are found).

Search "GSnap install" on Youtube and you'll get plenty of videos offering explanations in case you're not sure of what to do.

I recently completed the K1 with the optional KAT1 tuner. I have already aligned and tested the K1 without the autotuner installed and it works perfectly. I am trying to align the KAT1 but I am having an issue with the power calibration. I adjusted C9 to the lowest voltage, about 60mv. After I switch to CLP I make sure the output power is 5w using an oscilloscope. I then try to adjust the reading on the lCD display to match the output power but can never go about 2.2w. The only way to match the power out is to adjust C9. I know I am forgetting a small step somewhere but I am tired of messing with it.

I have also cycled through all of the relay switches to ensure they work.

    Nate

You have to own a license to a DAW like sony acid, protools, reason, ableton, etc. Or find a decent free DAW in order to use a VST plugin. Auto tune isn't a standalone program

Audacity is my go-to program when it comes to messing around with recordings and effects and I've tried to use GSnap through Audacity, but Audacity does not have an "import effect" command, so I'm not sure how to use it...

AFAIK, just drop it in the 'Plug-ins' subdirectory, or if that fails, I know Audacity is well documented so you might have to RTFM.

No idea what AFAIK and RTFM means... but I tried putting the dll file in the plugins directory, but it doesn't show up on the effect droplist.
