My desktop running Windows Vista Home Premium gets the dreaded Blue Screen of Death every time I install something and reboot. Startup repair won't fix it, and I don't know what to do. Help?

Is there any stop code on the BSOD ?

Right Click on My Computer, Advanced System Settings/Options > Startup and Recovery > In System Failure, disable automatic restart, and see what is shown in Write Debugging Info. If not Small Memory Dump, assign it, and then try to get the BSOD again, and upload the minidump (From Drive / Windows / Minidumps) if possible.

And it wouldn't hurt to see what the "Event Logs" are saying.

I believe it's the same way to access it in .Vista as is in XP. Right click My Computer and select Manage.
