    Hey All,
So I have Dell 9100 Dimension and have just purchased 1 gb of ram to complement the additional 512 that I had before. After installing the ram the computer worked fine one time, but from that point on I have gotten the BSOD right after start up.

I am running XP and the BSOD says that I should disable shadowing on my BIOS (Which i haven't done). Also I have updated my BIOS driver and graphics card driver.

Does anyone have any suggestions has to how to fix my problem? Thanks a Bunch,
    Percy

Test the RAM for any defects with memtest86+

    Also update your BIOS

IF you have BSOD, it might be possible for the RAM to be faulty.
Try them as sugested with Memtest86 for about a day and see if they pass the test.
It might also be the case of incompatibility with the mainboard.
