I have a gateway mt3705 and i keep getting bsod's on resume from sleep or hibernate. i read that video drivers often cause this, i have the ati radeon xpress 200m. device manager says i have driver version 8.341.0.0 from jan. 25, 2007. however when i check ati's website they have 7.10 listed as oct. 11, 2007. whys that?

i get the bsod's whether i am n battery or ac power, and regardless of what is attached to the computer. i click my icon, desktop loads, and shortly after that i get a bsod, then the blue screen gets vertical white lines down it. it never bothered me before because i just left it run and didnt sleep or hibernate. now i want to use onenote and take notes in classes but i have classes back to back and wanted to be able to use sleep or hibernate to get things up and running quicker. and unless this bsod issue is resolved i wont be using my laptop to take too many notes.

does anyone have any ideas? i know where are similar threads but none of them i have read have helped me any. any help is appreciated help.
