Now that I have all of my favorite programs and drivers installed and my OS is still fresh, how can I create a back up so that I can instantly restore to this state if something happens?

    Thanks,
    Leon

Thanks, should I select the compress option or not? And how can I put that on a DVD? Just burn it on?

Acronis True Image v7 has been offered as freeware by Acronis for some time now. Search around their site, and you should be able to acquire a serial key to use True Image, which is an excellent backup program.

Depends, how large is your installation, probably compression.
You know how to restore that image, don't you?
