I just had to reformatt unforntunetly, i now have everything installed but my background is doing something strange. Right before windows comes on the screen or before it shuts off, my "internet explorer background" goes away and the i get that standard windows rolling hills background. When everything loads up in windows i get my background back, it's just weird that i've never had this happen before.

    Any ideas?

That is normal, if you want to change that background you have to go into the registry and change the background for the Default User I believe, or you could use Tweak UI which can change it I think.

I remember having that problem with Win2000. I guess I solved it by removing the wallpaper (set your background to 'none' in the display settings), and then applying your wallpaper of choice.

Maybe you should reboot in between, just to be safe, and then you can set your wallpaper and the problem should be fixed.

In TweakUI you can copy your desktop wallpaper to the login-wallpaper. This only works of you use the Win2000 logon, not on the XP Welcome screen.
