This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I found a great page for downloading free backgrounds. The link is www.bluespeed9.com . The guy's pretty good and it's all free. His only request is that you respect his work. Check it out.

    PS - I guess this is not technically software but it really didn't fit anywhere else.

    nice one big calhoun, for the rest of us though www.wincustomize.com has some really nice ones. Only downside is every 5-7 downloads you have to delete your cookies and then continue to download some more for free.

    Also, www.visualparadox.com and www.digitalblasphemy.com (look at the user submitted and free indexes) are great sites.
