I tried to move my Users directory to my secondary HDD from my primary OS SDD as explained in this link: Move the Users Directory in Windows 7
I couldn't log into my windows profile afterwards. I tried to recover as explained near the end of the article with a restore but that doesn't work either. I'm pretty sure I need a clean install now...ugh.

    My questions are:
Should I wipe clean the SSD somehow before reinstalling or will Win7 install right over it? How about the HDD?

I hear of terms like Secure Erase, but I'm not sure I can do that now that I can't get into wondows

If I do need to do something in DOS from the recovery disk, can you tell me the commands that I need to use since I'm not the most DOS proficient person? (I know, I shouldn't have gotten myself into this in the first place)

I appreciate your help, this is a 2 day old computer and I had wanted to do this to save some extra space of the SSD. Ah well, live and learn.

The SSD is a 128GB Crucial M4 and was performing at specs before I FUBAR'd the OS.
Afraid of where to go from here because there are so many opinions regarding what methods are best and which ones degrade the drives' performance.
Is it as easy as just reinstalling and deleting partitions at reinstall or something like that?

The Windows installer will do the trick and clean up the SSD, remove all old partitions from the SSD during setup, then follow this:

    READ EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU BEGIN.

First you need to find out which method you want to use.

    Thanks Mats,
I went ahead with the easy method. I didn't want to get myself in over my head again. I think it will suit me just fine.
