The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Baffling browser(s) issues--all looks like html 1.0

    OK, this is a new one for me...For some reason no browser (tried ie6, ie7, firefox 2 and firefox 3)properly renders pages on this computer

    It is almost as if no browseris capable of understanding CSS...a few images will show, but most things are displayed in what looks suspiciously like html 1.0

    Take a peak at the attached image showing the front of notebookreview.com.

    This page looks like this in all browsers, so it is not a specific browser issue.
