    Hi,

I just have aquick question/problem and if anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it :)

I just got a HP L2000 special edition laptop and I put windows XP pro on it. I would like to be able to have an indication of how much battery life (time, not percentage) that I have left. In my old laptop windows did this automatically when u clicked on the battery/power icon, but with this laptop all i get is the percentage. Is there some setting that I've missed?

    Cheers,
    -Sean

You could install the Notebook Hardware Control, it will let you see lots of features of your laptop and it also adds the meter you're looking for.

L2000 has an AMD... NHC is for Intel.

Since it's an HP, it should have come with a drivers disc - I know I couldn't get the battery meter working properly until I installed the disc (which also allowed me to do other, you know, nice things...like use the quicklaunch buttons :p). Give that a shot!

It will work, It is NHC-Notebook Hardware control, not CHC- Centrino ....., The only thing that might not work is the Voltage and the video card settings
