For some reason, the reported battery life in windows never exceed 10 hours 2 minutes. This figure stays stuck at that specific level until it reaches 85% then it works normally until the battery run dry. Any fix for this?

Did you mean that the battery life stays at 10 hrs 2 mins until 85% when draining?

Yes, that's the case. I should have more than 13 hours of battery life on a single charge. But the battery meter reports only having 10 hours at 100%. The battery meter malfunctions between 85-100% and starts working correctly when the charge level gets to around 85%.

Battery life decreases over time. Windows just reports the information given by the battery. So, your battery is responsible for this.

The actual battery life tested when idle was more than 14 hours. I left it on in the morning and came back in the evening and it still had 5% battery life left. So is this a defective battery with 15% broken power meter?
