I've noticed on several occasions that the new Live Suite will consume just about all the RAM it can. And that applies to Messenger, Mesh, and Writer. All three that I installed. About an hour ago I had to kill Messenger through the task manager because it had a hold on about 4GB's of RAM. 4GB's! For Messenger!!! What's the problem here? I've looked at the registry entries for the new suite, and nothing looks out of place. I have no conflicting programs or services, and the suite has been fully updated. Is anyone else seeing this?

Four gigabytes sounds like a serious memory leak. I've also recently started MSN included with the new Live Suite and I found it more bloated than ever. God knows what the hell the developers at Microsoft were thinking. Honestly, I would just try installing an older version at this point. Why deal with the aggravation of what MS does best?

As far as I know, there's only the option of using older versions of Live. However, for now I am just using Mesh, so I don't need MSN or Mail.

I am not using MSN, (I use Trillian 5 - free, no ads, better Win7 integration than MSN itself), and Live Photo Gallery, Live Movie Maker, and Live Mesh doesn't cause any memory leak.
