Hey all! I'm about to migrate from the release candidate to the RTM version of Windows 7 Professional, and I want to make sure of one thing.
If I do a clean install to one partition (C :), the other (F :) won't be touched, right?
I want to know if I need to copy my files over to my external hard drive.
(I do have a system image backup of both partitions, but that would also clean off C: in the process)

the F: drive shouldn't be touched if you direct the installer to the C drive, but the key word is "shouldn't." You never know what will happen.

If I were you, I would copy all my files to the external drive to be safe. (Yes I'm paranoid too :p)

It won't be any problem as long as you point the windows installer to the C partition. I do this all of the time when installing windows vista/7 and get no problems. My data on the D partition is always safe. :)

Well, I'm on the other side now - my data partition is safe (and assigned the right drive letter, too!).
    Thanks, guys!
