What is the best email service in your opinion?
-
My fav is G-Mail.
-
Friends tell me of gmail all the time, but I like Yahoo, because it's attached to my Yahoo messenger, it'll notify you when you get mail. Also, it's as fast as pop mail. Also 1gb mail boxes dont hurt either. I don't use it much, I usually use pop service anyways.
-
I like hotmail but i use my comcast email most of the time. Its just something about the MSN look i like.
-
I only like hotmail because i use it for my MSN. I mainly recieve junk and chain letters in it though.
-
hmm i like gmail. not because of the big memory space, but its really simple to use.
-
same here... i use gmail... easy to use and now accessible via your cell phone
-
Google's email service I thought was pretty good because of how simple easy and some of the features it had, such as writing proxy email, but it was lacking many features that others had such as group email and antivirus scanning, but now it has all of the features you could ever want, the people at google have been adding new features all the time. The only problem I have with it is that sometimes it seems the service goes down all of a sudden or sometimes I would receive an email up to 7 hours after it was sent and the mail forwarding sometimes doesn't work. Weird to say the least, but it is full of features and 2.6+ gb space can't be beat. I use the gmail drive all the time to upload things to myself and then have them filtered and put in the respective labels. It can't be beat. I have tried many other email services, like yahoo, aol, hotmail, and my school's email service, all pale in comparision to gmail's features and service, although I do really like hotmail, which comes in second. It has the looks going for it and it is relatively fast. But gmail is on top by far.
-
I use gmail, partly because I'm too lazy to switch.
-
-Gmail
I also have a Yahoo! though. -
Have most of the choices...
I don't like GMail because if you happened to be logged into GMail and do a search on google it saves that info. to your account and that use that to target ads and S$%@ at you
I like hotmail because it is pretty generic and can use it to sign up to forums and stuff etc. and if I do get spam and other garbage I can just delete my whole inbox

I think G-Mail is the best out all (free) email services out there. More than 2GB of storage - what more could you ask for? Also - Gmail is exclusive - you have to be invited to join.
-
Gmail is actually free now. All you need is a cell phone to receive a confirmation text message.
-
I'd say - a tie between Mail.ru and Gmail. Both offer POP3/SMTP, unlimited storage space and mail search features, and I like Mail.Ru's interface better, but some will definitely prefer Gmail's interface.
Mail.ru doesn't suffer from downtime and access problem, as much as Gmail, from my experience, but it lacks a nice feature that I like in Gmail - viewing messages in a thread. -
hotmail dudes wat going on
-
Most definitely Gmail!!
-
Whatabout IMAP mail service providers? I won't use Gmail because they never delete your email. They just archive it in their vast data warehouse.
I heard fastmail.fm is great. Anyone used it or anything like it? -
Gmail by far, with the custimizable options, filters, labels, it truly is amazing. The second best email is probably the email service offered by my university.
-
Gmail is best by far. Most advanced spam-filter out of all of them, I have not recieved a single piece of spam in my inbox since I was invited over a year and a half ago. I've been through some 4 or 5 hotmail accounts, I even created one to test, and all I ever get is spam. The test address was created just to watch for spam. About three weeks after creation I started getting spam. And then one right after the other they all just started pouring in. Not with G-mail though
I'm happy with it. And besides, we all know that Google Inc. will take over the world anyway, regardless of weather we want it to or not.

I would have to say your ISP's POP3 e-mail.
Mine is Bell Sympatico. -
I haven't heard of a single ISP's mail that was even remotely close to the best WWW mail services out there.
-
I have used hotmail for so many years that I don't even bother using anything else., though I also have yahoo account and also once had AOL, who are crooks.
-
Out of all free e-mail services, I prefer Gmail. It's great to be able to use Thunderbird with it
-
I like hotmail simply because I've used them for so long now and they have never really given me a reason to switch. The others may be fine also but I don't really see how you can have too much of an improvement.l
-
I just use my ISP's POP e-mail address. I see no problem with it combined with Thunderbird. The junk filter is effective for the few spam e-mails that get through the spam filters the ISP has on their servers.
-
I just use my Earthlink email adress. Just have it running through Thunderbird to catch the little bit of spam I get, but I generally don't give that e-mail out freely. I trust no one here is trying to spam me, lol.
-
There is an option to save your searches in Google and to turn it off.
I have a preference for GMAIL personally due to its ease of use, size of storage, and most of all, the linking of emails into one conversation which leads to less cluttering of space and "fewer emails" to sort through.
For example, you write to person A and they reply back to you it will be listed under the same "email string", as opposed to a "separate response altogether". When you reply back and you get a response, you don't have to recall, "Now what is this particular topic in regards to?" -
beermail from beer.com...
-
i use hotmail mainly but i also use gmail. i really should just start using gmail but i am to lazy
-
IMO, Gmail is best for free email.
-
Yahoo from the start. I changed ISPs but have too many connections to Yahoo.
-
I like Yahoo... Gmail is up there... This is kind of ramdom but the visitor before me was visitor 666. Im 667. Glad Im not the "Antichrist"

Gmail as of now, but hotmail has a lot of potential. they are changing it to Windows Mail and it will have an interface exactly like Outlook (not outlook express), which i personally love. Also, they are going to integrate it with Windows Vista. If the service is fast and reliable, i don't think gmail stands much of a chance, not with the awesome outlook interface of windows mail.
-
gmail all the way
-
yahoo gets my vote
-
i dont like gmail coz it bunches emails together as one email if its on the same subject. yahoo has a great interface and has a nice 1gb
-
-
Metamorphical Good computer user
Gmail is my vote. INot just because of the storage. But its easy to use and I'm absolutely serious when I say I get no spam what so ever. =D!
-
Yes - G-Mail has the best SPAM protection out there IMO. Go G-Mail
-
Gmail kicks some e-mail hiney. If gmail didn't exist.... I would cry.... or at least cry because I'm missing out on something so freaking awesome.
-
I use GMail for its free POP access and 2GB mailbox..
-
i used to think it was Gmail.
Now I am having second thoughts ... it's getting slow, and they are adding too many unnecessary things that are deviating from the main function "a lean mean emailing machine" ex: news, chat, address plotting ... hell even UPS and USPS pakage tracking!!!! -
you're right, gmail is expanding its horizons
for those who like the way msn mesenger has e-mail alerts, you can try downloading the google deskbar. It has a similar function, plus a whole host of other features, i.e. calendar, to-do-list, scratch pad, mini-photo slideshow, weather, currency converter, etc.
you can pick and choose what you want. easy on the eyes, plus no spyware. -
i can't vote in here... this poll allows only to choose one... but i loved both yahoo mail and g mail..huhu
-
Gmail....It's interface is quite intuitive and easy to use..
-
Gmail all day....the best one i have ever used!
BTW: I have 50 invites, so if you want one PM me with your current e-mail address and ill send you one!! -
Everyone has 50 invites.
-
Excluding your ISP's provided POP3 mail servers, I would have to say G-Mail.
It's feature rich, some of the buttons are kinda hard to find, but it's a beta.
Wait, is it out of beta now?
Anyhoo' I like it best.
Also, I forgot to mention my Excite email account, which I've had FOREVER, they're great too. They were one of the first to offer increased storage online.
Cheers,
Mike -
Oh, concerning invites, not everyone received the 50 invites thingy. Some people got NONE.
So the earlier you signed up for the Beta testing of Gmail the more invites you got. -
I like www.fastmail.fm
