Currently I am using gmail but it takes awile to log in and such. So I am looking for a new email service. I would like it to be able to be intagrated with Opera or atleast be quick to get into.
Any ideas?

gmail does POP3, so you don't have to use the web version and login. The Google Toolbar also integrates with it.
-
What is POP3?
-
email protocol so you can get it via outlook or any other email program basically
or you can use IMAP(I preffer) similar to POP3 protocol but has some more features.
stick with gmail. very reliable and has a lot of features.
yahoo and hotmail chard you for a pop3 service if I recall..so if you get it free from google...your ahead of the rest. -
I also recommend Gmail, by the way. -
I have my Hotmail account and use Windows Live Mail to receive and send mail.
I find it simple, easy to use and would says its my favorite.
But Gmail is also a good free email service.
I recommend you try both to see what each one is like.
Sincerely,

Gmail is one of the best. I switched from yahoo back in the day and have never looked back. The abaility to connect up other accounts seamlessly makes my life as an admin easier. You can forward your other accounts email with simple forwarding or pop3, then send out email as that address with a simple confirmation email to that address initially. Basically, go and try it out

+1 to Gmail. It's a pretty smooth and powerful email service just from the web-end, but when you combine an email client with it (such as Thunderbird or Outlook or what have you), it's a seamless email solution that can handle your other less used email accounts, and I love the filters/tags solution, as opposed to folders.

Or you can get the gmail notifier add-on for firefox which checks if you have any e-mail and displays it in the bottom right corner of FF.

Due to Flickr (see sig
) I have a yahoo e-mail adress.
Ever since Tiscali made a mess out of our old e-mail accounts.
Quite happy with yahoo - uses POP. -
Gmail via IMAP does the job wonderfully for me as a backup for my regular account.

Gmail is great!
Does the job it needs to

I prefer Gmail.

Seeing as I'm the only one to support something other than Gmail, I am going to give it a shot, seems incredibly popular

Another for gmail.

+1 to Windows Live Hotmail
You can access other services email within the hotmail interface (TBH I think GMail offers this too)
Oh, and they don't charge for POP or IMAP access anymore http://www.winsupersite.com/live/wlwave3_shots_hotmail.asp -
I recently moved my personal domain email to MS's Live services. It works nice. In Windows I use Windows Live Mail, otherwise I just use the hotmail web interface.

Use Ypops for POP service with yahoomail.
Problem with gmail is its strict attachement policy. It wont let me send .exe files!!!
However, I use both. -
Ok, I am trying to intagrate my gmail account into Opera via IMAP but am runngin into a few problems. How can I intagrate the 2?

+1 for Gmail.

I use Yahoo Mail for Yahoo Messenger. In my country, our life are missing sth. without YM. Gmail is also another choice because of its POP3. And Hotmail for relation with Microsoft Network.

GMAIL is so simple and powerful at the same time!
I have hotmail and yahoo as well, and I hate the cluttered UI of both. Switched, and while I can't say I never looked back (because uni forces me to use hotmail), GMAIL is by far the best for me. Hooking up gmail to my domain name for free business email was easy too! -

i use it as a backup account....really fast and uncluttered. the free version is more than enough for basic needs....check it out -
Look's like Gmail is the most popular in this thread!
Nice...but alas..it always go's back to personal preference!

Yahoo Mail Free
Mostly because when I was making the few email addresses I use Gmail was still invite only and I was out of the loop.
Besides that Yahoo's pretty easy to use and I haven't had any problems with it, and if it ain't broke don't fix it.
Maybe I'll try Gmail down the line but I keep hearing about how google tracks all your stuff and what you search and all so idk. Liked Google Chrome but stopped using it for this reason, well that and Opera + FF2 are great.
