Is the best ISO program infrarecorder or virtual clone drive? I've heard that Daemon and such comes with excess baggage. I need light program that does its job.

If you're talking about mounting an .iso for use, I prefer Alcohol 120%. Never used the two you mentioned, but I did find that the "excess baggage" you mentioned with daemon tools to be the case, and quit using it because of that.

If your talking about just creating or burning an .iso, ImgBurn is and has been my choice for quite some time now. Very lightweight and a small footprint.

For mounting and burning my favorites are MagicDisc and ImgBurn.
MagicDisc allows you to mount multiple drives.

I too use ImgBurn for .iso creating and burning. It doesn't do virtual drive mounting though.

General consensus is that ImgBurn is one of the best.

    Cheers...

I use Roxio Easy Media Creator, frequently installed with Sony laptops, for ISO creation. Sometimes I use anydvd in addition of Roxio if Roxio alone doesn't work. Unlike bloated Nero, Roxio is very straightforward to use. For mounting ISO, I use Virtual Clone Drive. It is very straightforward to use too and Virtual Clone Drive is free.
