The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I know that there is alot of linux os out there. Do you guys recommend any of them. I tried Ubuntu but that messed up my computer after I formatted. Thanks in advance.

    Different linux flavors have different compatibility issues (I might be wrong though). I suggest going to www.tuxmobil.org and looking for your laptop or the closest match to your laptop and install that. My Aspire 5672 can only run Ubuntu/Kubuntu properly.
