    Hey guys,

I recently purchased a Cowon iAudio D2+ and have transferred most of my music onto the device. However, having previously been a Creative Zen user, I was used to smooth integration of .wav and .wma files onto the device. For the D2+, it's really picky about album art and tags when music aren't in Mp3 format.

I use the standard version of Media Monkey and I was told you can convert music to Mp3 Format, but I can't seem to do it with the program since it says that feature was limited to the first 30 days (and I thought MM was freeware).

I have a couple of albums in .wma and.wav format and would like to know the best software for batch processing those (without losing quality) to convert to Mp3.

MediaCoder looks pretty good but I was wondering if anyone else had any other programs they could suggest?

    Thanks for any suggestions!

foobar will let you convert your files to mp3 in batches.

Convert your files to VBR -V0 that'll give you the best quality for the mp3's.

dont use mp3 unless you have too. amost any modern device supports AAC now and that is like the evolution of mp3.

neroaacenc.exe is the codec and it can be run from the command line. Its the same one people pay big money for in programs but nero lets you have it for free if you just download it from there site.

If your not into command line encoding, a good GUI for it is MeGUI it does both video & audio encoding.

With AAC you can fit the same quality file in 1/2 of the space or less, or have 2x the quality of file in the same space pretty much.

Note NeroAACEnc only converts WAV files, if you use MeGUI it will take care of the conversion for you into .wave but if you run it from command line you need to pipe the file or use something else to convert to .wav first.
