I'd have to say Windows XP is the best. Stable, runs everything, easy to configure. All-around excellent. 95 would win by miles for the biggest improvement over the previous version. And I really liked using 98, too, though there wasn't that much of a difference between it and 95.
I've used:
Windows Vista Home Premium
Windows XP Home
Windows 2000 Professional
Windows 98
Windows 95
Windows 3.11
MS-DOS 6.22
MS-DOS 7 (packaged with Windows)
Also used XP Pro one time, but that doesn't really count.
Never heard of Windows Fundamental. Time to call on Google.
Now I've used WindowsRG, too! It's got a Really Good media player, if only it wouldn't crash!
