    Hello,
I just bought a pair of rather exve webcams. I want to do some video chat with family. I'm new to this, and wondering what is the best video chat software in terms of video quality/audio sync.

    Skype?
    Live Messenger?
    Yahoo?
    Other?

    Thanks a ton. :)

Phew - preference in theend really...

Skype works, so does MSN and so does ICQ.

Skype has the best Audio of those to the best of my knowledge.
Picture - I'd say its quite good too.
In MSN the pic is a tad choppy - but this can be canged - not sure how exactly, I have seen it done thoug - you can get a very good picture through MSN.
ICQ - it was only one way - but I believe quite recognizeable.

I'd say it may be best to try what works best for you an use something you already have.

MSN/live messenger for the best compatibility. It's likely that your family's computer already have msn/windows/live messenger installed.

Between Skype and MSN Messenger I personally prefer Messenger when it comes to webcam/video.

I'd say Skype is better but I'd rather use Live Messenger since I know a lot more people using it.

    Hey KUNFUCHOPSTICKS,

Just try a few of them and see what you're most comfortable with, and which one has the features you like best.

We use both Yahoo and Skype and they work fine. It comes down to personal preference.
