Hi, I know we have the famous thread about tricks and tips of windows vista here. Those tips are very useful, and actually I followed some of those tips in my laptop. But I am just wondering which software you would recommend to speed up your vista machine, optimize it, tweak it and also clean up it.

I am using TuneUp Utilities 2007 right now, but I know there are some similar softwares out there. Such as Vistamanager, WinBubble, TweakUI, System machanic and also Stardock tweakvista, and so on. You know, compared with doing all the tweaks one by one follow the instructions you guys recommended in this forum is certainly useful, but with software package to do it could be much more easier and timesaving. Any suggestions on that?

    I appreciate all the inputs.

I asked a question similar to this a few weeks back and the response that I got was that the software is not as detailed as you can be on your own. Some of them may actually harm your computer because they do all kinds of freaky things to your registry and other areas. I was pretty much told to stay away from them, if possible. That's just what I heard, so you may have a different experience.

Yes, that's pretty much what i said. It's true, I've tested a lot of software and there is no such "Best vista all in one tweaker tool".

Thanks a lot. I appreciate it. Actually, I have been using the TuneUp Utilities 2007 since the first day I got my vista laptop. But I never had the chance to test others. The good thing is that at least the software (TuneUp Utilities 2007) did not do anything bad to my computer in the past, though I have no idea how good it is and if it really do anything good. :)
I was just wondering if there was any software could do all the tweaks (esp. including all the treaks mentioned in this forum) in one click, so that I do not have to do "regedit" and "service" every time. And also, clean up all the temp and junk files in one click as well.

No, no such tool. You might want to check out WinBubble though, very nice tool that can do a lot, effectively.

For Vista I really like StarDocks TweakVista, it's essentialy just a collection point for all of the built in Vista settings so other than allowing a single interface that enable you to access all of these built in Vista settings it doesn't do much else. However it's for that reason I really like it, plus Stradock has a good history of standing behind it's products. Give the Demo a shot.
