I just bought a laptop that had Vista business on it but I had a large amount of incompatability issues and errors and had to downgrade back to XP. I had Vista for a week and I have to admit that I liked the look although the functionality was horrible.

Which Vista theme is the easiest to download and looks the closest that I can get for XP?

Looks interesting. Funny, I've always liked the simplicity of XP, but after using a friends Vista, I am warming to its design...

Any word of how this "skin" affects performance?

Yeah...I'd like to know the performance-related issue too! I am using the Royale theme and its, frankly, getting boring! Though I'd rather be bored than have performance be hit!

Can the language be set to english though?

I've used it and there are NO performance issues, none whatsoever. If you add the dock or shadowing it adds 3-4 MB per feature.

And yes of course it offers multi language support. ;)

Count me as one of those who actually prefers the look and GUI of XP over Vista. :p

    Thanks. Much appreciated.

Edit: I believe it does have a problem with some software - the name that most commonly crops up is GIMP...here is a site that compares it with a competitive product: http://news.softpedia.com/news/Vist...iversal-Vista-Inspirat-Brico-Pack-16334.shtml

For the moment, I think I will remain with the XP Royale theme. Seems just safer.
