This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Best Widget Program for windows xp?

    i know vista has its own built in sidebar widget program, however, im using xp, does anyone know any good widget programs?

    i tried yahoo but it's too yahooized and doesnt have the coolest widgets either.

    I use Yahoo anyway. Well, actually, I did, until I didn't want them running on the background, so I don't use them anymore. But when I did have Widgets, I used Yahoo.

    I would definitely recommend Yahoo! Widgets, simply the easiest to use and has a nice Gallery full of widgets that could strike the fancy of most people.

    You could also try Google Gadgets... I tried it... but I liked Yahoo's selection of widgets more.

    I ended uninstalling both cause they both eat up resources pretty bad.

    It is a shame that Konfabulator was bought by Yahoo!. But Yahoo! Widgets didn't seem too Yahooized last I used it (maybe close to a year ago.). I would say they are still the best, but as others have said these things start to eat up a lot of resources.

    Yeah I would just go with Yahoo widgets. That is what I am using right now. However if you don't have a lot of ram I don't recommend running a lot of widgets.
