New to NBR and figured I'd start a thread based on what I love: web design and development. Here are the tools and spoonfed freebies I've used to learn, understand, design, and develop websites. Pretty short list and by no means exhaustive, would love to hear what you guys use. Feel free to ask questions!
Easy HTML & CSS tutorials
HTML Dog (Elegant website for getting into HTML coding)
W3Schools (The standard source to pore over. Has 'see the code in action' examples scattered throughout)

NVU editor (Easy to use tool that lets you mess arond with the look of your HTML)
HTML code editor
Notepad ++ (Meet notepad on steriods. My personal favorite for messing with any kind of code. It highlights <start> and </end> tags and applies visually pleasing auto-coloring. Also has tabs)

Blog and content stuff
Wordpress (Easy to install on your own host without any knowledge of html or PHP. Great forums for support. Many contributions including security and SEO)

75 Useful Javascript Techniques (My favorite list to easily spruce up your website. Includes demos and walk-though installation guides. Great for slide shows, galleries, and more)

PDSTUTS website (Fun psd tutorials from photoshop gurus. Many screenshots and detailed walk-throughs.)
After your site is up
Google Analytics (Free and installation takes less than 5 minutes. Measures many helpful metrics, like bounce rate, that help you grow and improve your site)
