I've only ever used Nero, and I found it quite powerful. Any free burning suite like it out there?

CDBurnerXP and DeepBurner are free and work well for the basics. There are some things like converting mp3s on the fly or DVD videos which they cannot do as well as Nero. Since you can get an OEM copy of Nero on eBay for less than $10, that seems to be the best route.

I think that there is a free ware version of Nero. I have the full suit, and the great thing about it is that it intergrates with Dvd Shrink. Very powerful software.

Getting onto your question - Download.com has a lot of free/trialware. Look for ratings by people, and c.net. Hope this helps.
