I am running vista x64 and wondering what the best free undelete program is. I have a couple large files I'd like to try to recover on a drive that isn't used often.

ETA I tried Recuva, but it didn't find them.

Is this possibly do to the fact that that partition is encrypted and is a hidden drive? Previous versions brings up nothing.

I'm not sure about encrypted drive. Do you have the key to decrypt it? I think without it, even if you did recover data it would be gibberish.

I'd give the Ultimate Boot CD a try and use the Test Disk 6.5 in it under the File System/Partitioning Tools.

It can look at hidden partition tables, recover them and do file recovery.
