Looking for a good piece of software for my laptop where when I put my CF card in from my digital camera, I can bring up the pictures, resize, reformat them to jpg or gif, and be able to get them to a size for emailing. Any suggestions?

Ifranview. Small program with a lot of features. It loads quickly and does quite a bit. I've been using it as my default viewer for a while now. I like ACDSee but it's gotten pretty big. I don't like picassa2. Photoshop is overkill for quick jobs and so is Paint Shop Pro X.

Another vote for Ifranview. Does everything I need and then some.

If your also interested try GIMP. It kinda like Adobe Photoshop, but its FREE! Also it has some of the same features as CS but does have a slight learning curve. Either way its an amazing free program for photo editing on a budget(to the MAX).

What about ACD PowerPack v 7.0?
Best photo viewing software?
