Best/simplest HD cloning software?

I recently bought a used MSI GT80 with windows 10. I would like to clone the hard drive, but I am not a particularly tech savvy person. I am looking for recommendations for a cloning utility that is simple to use and reliable. I don't mind paying for a utility. ...but there's not much way for a novice user to make the decision as to which is best. My computer can hold multiple hard drives, so it would all be done internally. Any opinions or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

 

Hmmm... Is it possible that no one here has ever cloned a hard drive?

 

Probably go with Macrium. It is simple.

@gmm22 I never cloned a drive. Check out this guide with free cloning software from the same website. Throwing price of a HDD down the drain on cloning software does not seem a good idea to me. This seems to be a helpful and reasonably recent video for Clonezilla.

 

Thanks for the replies. After more reading, it appears it's between Macrium and Acronis. Both seem well regarded, so I'll keep reading to see if there's any one or more specific features that sway it with respect to my needs.

 

I use Acronis and with that you can create a USB or Disc recovery media. I like the layout of Acronis is more explorer setup to view and work with. But if you want something good like Acronis you will have to pay for it.

 

I have Acronis, but for freeware, I suggest Clonezilla.

 

I like minitool partition wizard. I tried a few of the other well known programs and they struggled with properly copying the MBR. This causes problems with switching to the cloned drive not booting. Mini tool it was seemless and switch the drive worked with no issues.
