    If you have a Dell Latitude or Inspiron, it doesn't get better than Christian Diefer's I8kfan utility. It safely and reliably overrides your BIOS to give fine-tuned fan control. Compatibility is limited/non-existent with other laptops, including a few rare Dell models.

    i second I8kfan, ive heard thats what works best for Dell.

    SpeedFan also. Although i think it only tells you them. But that was 2 years ago when i tried it. They may have changed it since then.
