    If your a student you can get 2007 Enterprize for cheap, it's equal to Ultimate.

    Well, I can get anyone of these, Office Ultimate/Enterprise/Professional Plus/Professional 2007 and more, from my cousin. Just want to know which one.

    If you can get it cheap enough, then go all out and get the Ultimate.

    Office 2007 just blows. I'm no big fan of Open Office either (Abiword, latex, and Gnumeric ftw), but Microsoft really screwed up with the new interface. I wouldn't doubt that it's easier to learn for new users, but if you've used previous versions at all it's just hell.

    Going from what I read on here, most people seem to prefer 2007. I want to try out 2007 sometime because the new interface interests me.

    07 pro is good, it's just too much for a student. it is more for professional writers, like tech writers. 03 pro is simpler and works fine.

    Do you mean Release/Version or Version/Suite?

    I would go with Office 2007 in a suite in which at least OutLook, Word, and Excel were included. See this Comparision Chart for Office 2007.
