    Hi all,

I am trying to figure out the best way to keep approximately 60GB of video content synced between 2PC's running Windows 8.

I used to use Copy.com, which was great, but now the uploads take way too long, there is just too much content.

    Any suggestions? Thanks.

Pay for a cloud storage solution such as Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive?

Subscribing to Office 365 ($63 and change for a keycard from Amazon) gets you 5 Office licenses and unlimited OneDrive storage space.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am looking at free options.

EDIT: Found BitTorrent Sync, not sure if there are any better alternatives.

Windows Live Mesh, assuming they are on the same network and are both running Windows. It won't have to upload via the Internet, so the only speed limitation will be that of your network. Unfortunately, it was discontinued awhile ago in favor of SkyDrive (now OneDrive), which requires Internet uploads to sync, and is no longer available.

BitTorrent Sync is interesting, and does much the same thing as Windows Live Mesh. I haven't used it personally, but it's the type of program you're looking for (if they're on the same network), and won't run into the upload issues that cloud ones will.

If the computers aren't on the same network and the uploads are taking way too long, then your best bet is probably using Blu-Ray discs or an external hard drive in conjunction with sneakernet. For sufficiently large quantities of data with sufficiently slow upload speeds, sneakernet actually has better bandwidth than the Internet. The article is 7.5 years old, so the speeds are different now, but so is hard drive capacity, so it can still work out to be a better deal.
