This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    In this thread, say two programs that do the same thing, but one is the popular one, and the other has to be better (ie more efficent and easier to use, easier on your computer or more features)although less mainstreme.

    I dont really have a example, but below is my try. Also the bad one is actually more popular, so imagine this as more of a template.

    Good: -Foobar- requires some patience and work initially but once you get it up and running there is no equivalent to it.

    Bad: -Winamp- not exactly bad but it feels much bloated and cumbersome to use after working with foobar

    Ok fine, common sense isn't a program, but it's a hell of a lot better than UAC!
