I just updated the bios on my hp dv2500 to a newer version f2.8. Now whenever i start my laptop it goes to the windows loading screen loads then flashes blue and restarts. I get a window saying windows did not start screen and it asks me to boot regular, in safe mode, last know good configuration or regular. If i choose regular it starts fine and i can use my laptop. But it every time i shut down and turn it back on i get the same problem. If I restart or shutdown at the log on screen it seems i don't get the error only when I'm logged in shut down and then turn it back on. I tried last known good configuration and a system restore but nothing worked. I also did an intel matrix storage update right before the bios update not sure if that did anything. I uninstalled it but i still have the problem. Is there any way to go back to my old bios, or does anybody know what to do?
Thanks

i never knew hp had previous version on there website. i just reinstalled the one i had which is a year old and the laptop runs flawlessly again. only weird thing is the little blue light on the front doesn't light up to indicate external power but things like that don't bother me at all. thanks for the help. +rep.
