Every now and then my wireless card in my z81sp refuses to work (code 10 error, which I believe is a software conflict). I've tried drivers and windows updates but the only thing that fixes the problem is for me to go into the bios and enabling "Load Setup Defaults." The problem usually occurs again within another week but restarting and loading setup defaults always fixes the problem.

I was just curious as to whether or not regularly messing with that particular bios setting could yeild any major problems

I would say check your CMOS battery first - possible update to BIOS may fix issue as well.
