Whenever a download finishes on bitcommet v 1.21 (latest ver), my computer freezes. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Stop downloading torrents?

no way. I use bit commet as my overall download manager. I use it on youtube and several other places too.
I searched around on google but looks like its a little tuff to search for. -
Hey, someone had to say it
.
Might want to try another program to see if the problem is specific to BC, or if it is something with your system. -
some times completed downloads is stored in a different location other than incomplete downloads , so when u finish downloading the software copies it to the new folder , maybe the completed downloads folder is in a full drive , check if ur drives have enough space

I sometimes use BitComet as my download manager also and have no problems with V1.21 on the system in my sig or on another Sony Dekstop with XP SP3. I would say it is an issue with your computer. To be honest I don't use it much, only on huge downloads like legal Windows 7 ISO's, etc.
Now, in the past I have had problems with some new versions of BC and had to restort to the last known good version I used and waited for the next version. I don't dwell on a problem with a new version, I can't really tell that the enhancements between BC's incremental versions make a difference anyway. If you don't have a problem with v1.20 step back and wait for the next release to upgrade. -
It took me forever to figure out what the issue is. I started googling it everywhere and nothing show up. So yea, it was my laptop, no actually, it was the programs that came with my laptop. It seems bitcomit doesn't like the audio programs I have. I fixed the issue by turning off "play sound when task is complete" box. I found this out when I narrowed down what services to disable until I disabled windows audio and endpoint.
Not 100% sure which is it, it could be the 4.0 HD, fffshow 64bit maybe? or the audio manager system my asus comes with. If that is the case, that means anyone using the g73 without doing a fresh reinstall of win 7 is going to have the same problem I have. I kept mine as it is straight from the box but I may think about updating the bios and drivers some day. -
Never have, and probably never will

True, uTorrent is great, but it can't be used as a general purpose download manager.

utorrent is only good for torrents (duh?).
Bit Comet is banned on most private trackers.
