I'm at a college which is blocking bittorrent traffic. I'm not sure how they do it (I'm using a fairly random port) but I'm looking to, well, ummm, hmmm... "get around" this restiction. Can anybody give me a few of the common ways?
Thanks

Colleges use high end routers/switches such as Cisco. These routers/switches can control all traffic and generally its impossible to get around. My school has it as well and I've tried everything with no avail. You might be able to use SSH and use tunneling on port 443 but then your gonna get into VERY TECHNICAL stuff.

I to am in the same situation as nrbelex, and any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's blocked. For you to bypass it would surely get your internet privileges taken away and perhaps even an expulsion.
