I have recently installed a blu-ray drive in my lappy and am wondering if it is possible to get free software that allows me to play blu-rays?

I have purchased Any-DVD HD howver I still need a program to play the blu-rays as Windows media player does not support play back.

I am reluctant on spending another £80 or so pounds to get Powerdvd and have tried DA Player, a free programm which gives very basic playback options, however on some blurays the voiceover isn't in sync with the actual movie.

Does anybody out there know of any other free or at least cheap-ish software for playing back blu-rays?

    Thanks

I am with you, free is the way to go ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download

    From here _ OPtion 3
product = notebook, Model = Apps, Select YOur OS and you should see ASUSDVD,
I am using the the older version for 64 BIT win 7
It is an older limited version of Cyberlink, but it works great on my machine.

powerdvd 9 is a good program, but download the trial of powerdvd 11. many changes were made, and after trying you may not find spending another 80pounds that hard.
    cheers

afaik any free video player capable of decoding h.264 (eg: MPC HC) should be able to play BRDs with enough fiddling, despite Sony's licensing nonsense
