I just got a new blu-ray drive that came with CyberLink PowerDVD 7. Unfortunately, every time I try to play Batman Begins, the screen stays black after the initial two WB and Rating screens, and after the little spinning disc pops up. I know others have reported this problem before, has any solution been found?

If none has, is there any type of free Blu-ray player software that is available that works well? I really don't feel like paying $100 PowerDVD 8 Ultra, which I believe is the only PowerDVD 8 that allows me to play blu-ray.

    Thanks!

If you are having problems viewing it on an external display, set your computer to display on only the external one and then restart your computer. Blu-ray has copy protection that will only allow you to display on one monitor at a time.

Yea I have done that and know about HDCP, but this is a common problem with PowerDVD 7.

I am using the trial of Power DVD 8 Ultra and have no problem with it, except for the fact that it is $100. However, I have just connected my external 5.1 sound card (by GWC), and now the screen keeps flashing when trying to play the disc. It doesn't do this without the sound card. Any ideas?
