Out of the blue my computer has shot me the blue screen three times in the last week, and caused it to restart. I'm not sure how to combat this. My specs are in sig.

Not sure how to access my minidump files to attach them(require administrative access).

If anyone could give me a word of advice or send me in the right direction, it'd be very appreciated. Thanks.

check your memory, test with each in and out. I used to get blue errors all the time, one day I changed the memory out of no where and it stopped blue erroring on me for good. I also read that it can be caused by drivers, so If you had switched drivers as of late you might want to revert back.

I had multiple blue screen events and restarts within 4-6 weeks and initiated three related threads seeking help and the responses were helpful for me. I have listed them below in order of most recent to earliest in case they contain information useful for you:

This is something I'd like to avoid unless I have to. I have no experience taking apart computers, and from what I know my laptop specifically has a huge warranty sticker inside that taunts you from changing things inside of it.

    I'll check those out, thanks.

    Downloaded. Here are the results.

hmm not seen this one before "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE"

question.have you used sleep or hibernate lately?
also have you got an external hard drive plugged in all the time or a dongle.

various pages on google say its a driver error but its finding which one is to blame will be the fun bit. Google

Yes, I hibernated my laptop for the first time last night. When I'm over at a friends or something(3 days ago) and my laptop isn't plugged in it'll usually go into sleep mode between uses. Most of the time it's plugged in at home, and on High Performance. I also usually shut down the laptop when I'm done with it.

reading up on google some pages say its to do with sleep/hibernate but then others dont so its swings and roundabouts like most tekkie things.
hope you get it sorted soon Trent.

    Computer's been on for 24h.

Just updated Windows and installed fresh drivers for my video card. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

most of BSOD problems are caused by drivers
have you installed new drivers recently?

Not before having the issues. I had the same drivers that were pre-installed on my computer, unless they were updated without my digression.

Haven't had any issues since I updated my video card drivers though, so for now I'm hoping the problem is solved.

All of these took place while my computer was just standing for a while. When plugged in my laptop does not go into sleep mode or hibernate. The screen just shuts off.
This seems to be nothing but a minor inconvenience, but I can't help feeling concerned.
