I have dell XPS 15 9560 and have been getting blue screen errors. Have attached the error messages . It shows the problem a problem with ntoskrnl.sys and I have also performed a clean install but still getting errors . Please help
I performed the clean install to rectify the problem but was surprised to still get the bsod . I installed from a windows media tool which I created from a different system . And have updated all the dell drivers . And also I'm not able to find the upload function to upload the pictures .

Run WhoCrashed for more information on the BSOD.
-
Do what saturnotaku said and note that ntoskrnl.sys errors mostly point to a driver problem.

Stop Dell services temporarily and reboot to see if it fixes that BSOD.

Open services.msc then locate dell services and put them to maunal instead of Auto.

Are you using Killer drivers from Dell or Killer? If you're on Dell provided drivers, uninstall them and use the Killer drivers from www.killernetworking.com

I cleaned the disk , installed new drivers and I'm still getting BSODs

Got the error again , didn't work

I'd love to use teamviewer but your OS isn't stable. Anything related to Intel DPTF or Dell Command Center. Can you disable Dell Command Center and see if the issue persists. Is it on RAID 0/1 or AHCI?
@GoNz0 Any specific driver you have come across that cause BSOD on XPS 15? -
The default nvme drivers.

I don't have dell bloatware , and I have come across ntoskrnl.sys errors mostly and whocrashed says kernel system failing repeatedaly .Vasudev likes this.

+rep added. Thanks. So any IRST driver above v15.5 that can circumvent that BSOD.
-
Open HWINFO64 Sensors and see if there's any WHEA errors?
-
I wouldn't know as I have the Samsung 960 with Samsung driver so I don't get that issue.

U can use TeamViewer as the bsod mostly occurs while watching videos .Vasudev likes this.

Did Samsung fix that huge number of Unsafe shutdown Count as per HWINFO SSD info when Samsung driver is used. I switched to Native MS driver for NVMe to avoid that issue.
-
How exactly ?
-
Like this screenshot. Tick Sensors Info when presented with a mini window.
-
Its optimus issue. Use nvidia inspector or Nvidia Control Panel and change Power Mangement Mode to adaptive. Before that, update to latest Intel driver 22.20.16.4815. Use DDU to clear out older Intel drivers and install newer one and apply the nvidia power mgmt mode tweak.

total error are 0

which intel drivers exactly and whats DDu ?
sorry i am new to this stuff .Vasudev likes this. -
Is it Skylake(6th gen) or Kabylake CPU (7th gen)?

I hope BIOS, DPTF, IRST,MEI drivers are latest versions from Dell, correct?
DDU https://www.wagnardsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=921
Nvidia driver for GTX 1050M https://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/388.00/388.00-notebook-win10-64bit-international-whql.exe
Intel iGPU https://downloadcenter.intel.com/do...-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-47-?v=t
Delete unneeded crapware from nvidia if you don't use geforce experience by following this screenie.
Use DDU first and remove Intel and nvidia drivers w/o rebooting. Then Install Intel gpu first and afterwards reboot.
Before installing nvidia driver extract it using 7zip or WinRAR to current downloaded directory(or your custom folder/drive).
-
Ddu shows 26 drivers need updates and dell shows the drivers are up to date . And I didn't get the last stepVasudev likes this.
-
im stupid i downloaded DDR, wait ill do the steps and update you
-
Don't use that driver update instead use DDU to wipe out Intel and Nvidia drivers.
Remove unneeded folders and make it look exactly like the screenie. That provides stock driver experience w/o telemetry from nvidia. It was suggested by @j95 -
Can't say I have looked for that problem.

Remove or disable Killer Control Center on startup using Task manager or CCleaner.

It's not on the list

Can you list apps in startup tab of task manager?
