meh, oh well
-
what happen when you hit f8 bring up boot menu and pick disable automaic restart what the blue screen say?
-
did you do anythig recently that could of caused this? have you installed some sort of driver try booting to last known good configuration not sure if this will work but its worth a shot
basicaly when its booting press f8 then go down to last known good configuration here are the instructions from microsoft
If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you will need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then shutting down and restarting your computer.
•
If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to highlight the operating system you want to start, and then press F8.
3.
On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight Last Known Good Configuration, and then press ENTER.
4.
If your computer has more than one operating system installed, use the arrow keys to highlight the operating system that you want to start by using Last Known Good Configuration, and then press ENTER. Windows will then resume starting normally. -

Vista DOES HAVE BSOD.
It sounds to me that your graphic card or maybe other component is not working or broken. I've had the same experience, and it stopped when I changed the motherboard (with graphic chip attached) -
oh, BTW, vista's BSOD only make appearance in extreme case, unlike XP, so you'll see it less.
-
When you get a BSOD, as andyasselin noted, it is telling you something. If you want help, you need to read what people say and answer questions.
Each BSOD has a STOP error code; what is it? The STOP error code tells you (sometimes) what the problem is. -
-
Notebook Hardware Control for XP will cause a BSOD for Vista. It happened to me and had to do fresh installation.
-
^ Only if you're using a version not approved for Vista. A V-compatible version has been out for months now.

NHC is a nice program but a lot of times when coming out of hibernation it 'll stop working and have to reload. And Vista keeps informing you that it blocked a program when starting. It won't let NHC load automatically!
