I get blue screen of death every time I use mtorrent to download files. It happens most of the time when I leave laptop for overnight downloads... never happened before, but I've a feeling it's network driver - anyways, here is the info:
022410-27003-01.dmp 2/24/2010 11:48:22 PM IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0x0000000a 00000000`00000000 00000000`00000002 00000000`00000000 fffff800`031fe477 hal.dll hal.dll+2477 x64 C:\Windows\minidump\022410-27003-01.dmp 2 15 7600
anyone? please help. I've hp HDX16, computer is 6 month old, and it had been working fine before... problem started yesterday after service provider upgraded my internet speed (fiber optic line).

Try testing it with this tool:
http://www.memtest.org/ -
Sonicjet
I tested using memtest (had it on ubuntu installation cd) - let it run few hours, no errors whatsoever.
anything else I can test?
I read that 0x0000000a refers to network card.
in Bluescreen viewer I see two files.
ntoskrnl.exe ntoskrnl.exe+71469 fffff800`02c1f000 fffff800`031fc000 0x005dd000 0x4a5bc600 7/14/2009 12:40:48 AM Microsoft® Windows® Operating System NT Kernel & System 6.1.7600.16385 (win7_rtm.090713-1255) Microsoft Corporation C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

And here is a dump file, I have no idea how to open and analyze it... hopefully someone can shed lightAttached Files:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL can refer to bad or faulty drivers. Try uninstalling your network card drivers, as you say the code refers to your network card. After that, reinstall the drivers, or install a different version.

Hi,
Pls read my thread (the same pb): http://social.answers.microsoft.com...e/thread/2136148f-6555-477b-b940-2467c2b62e41
also can read the intel comunity discussion:
http://communities.intel.com/thread/10055?start=15&tstart=0
looks like the wifi driver of intel is the problem (W7/64bit OS)
you can update this driver on: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sea...roducts&ProdId=3062&LineId=1784&FamilyId=1783
good luck -
Not sure what driver versions you guys are using but I usually go to; http://www.intel.com/support/detect.htm
I have 13.1.1.1 for the Intel 5100 -
Happy Easter! -
I also wanna confirm that I had the exact same problem as the original poster. And it has only been 2 days. But I have had no BSOD since I updated my driver from the place from the post above me. I was getting BSOD 3-5 times a day. Thanks everyone!

this means that the intel wifi drv 13.1.1.1 is an improvement, for the moment
glad to hear that

A newer wireless SW release is out. It contains a new driver 13.2.0.30. If possible, please update your wireless software. This build addresses some of the stability issues that you are encountering but not all. Please visit Intel support for download.
this release is not posted yet, probably will be soon -
Try WhoCrashed. Should tell you what's responsible.
