Since the the Vista bluetooth manager is horrible and confusing, is there any good software I can use to manage my devices? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

There are three main software packages for Bluetooth:
1. Microsoft (the one you don't like)
2. Broadcom
3. Toshiba
I don't know if the Toshiba one has been updated for Vista. Broacom's has. Neither of these is available for purchase, though. You're at the mercy of your notebook manufacturer or the manufacturer of your bluetooth adapter. With the exception of Toshiba, which uses their own software, most vendors choose to include the Broadcom software. You'll need to go to your manufacturer's site to see if they are offering the Vista version of the software, though. Unfortunately, the software does a security check when it starts and if the device in your notebook isn't the device that the driver you downloaded is for (same manufacturer and model), it won't work.
Hope that helps. -
