Hey there,
I have a Dell XPS 15 9530 with Windows 8.1 x64 (Secure boot + UEFI) and want to install Arch Linux using the Evo/Lution installer while keeping my windows OS.
What I did so far was shrinking my C: Partition so that I have 60GB unallocated space for Arch Linux.
I then created a portable usb stick using "rufus 2.2" and selecting the evo/lution .iso file (which should normally be burned on a cd). I hope that is the correct way to make the usb stick correctly boot the evo/lution installer.
Now I am curious on how I can boot from this usb stick? I guess I need to disable secure boot but stay in UEFI?
Then I press F12 and choose the USB stick to boot from.
I just did that (with secure boot enabled) and got asked about a hash-integration-check-whatever of some loader.xy file on the usb stick. I didn't do that as I wasn't sure what this hash-check-whatever will do.
Once I manage to run the evo/lution installer I would follow this guide:
http://www.evolutionlinux.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=249
But how do I get to run the .iso installer from the usb stick?
Thanks !
