This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Boot Manager help.....

    Ok i have just recently added ubuntu to my selection of OS's.....so i have xp-sp3.....and ubuntu 8.04 xp 1st ubuntu 2nd.......what i am having trouble with is finding a more appealing way of choosing wich OS to boot.....

    I have seen what mac has and that is simple enough......

    i am in no way wanting to be like mac....even though im no MAc basher i just was searching online and have came up with nothing...

    ive searched for boot loaders and boot managers.........am i searching for the wrong thing?

    Well, since you installed Ubuntu, then I'm guessing you have GRUB, there is a GUI version of grub, so maybe search for that (though I reccomend Mandriva over Ubuntu, and it comes with the GUI GRUB)
