How to load Windows NT in dos mode to install windows 95? btw I am doing this by virtual cd. As when I stick in the win 95 CD nothing happens, but when I click from the CD drive I am told I must install it in dos mode.

another way to phrase me question

How do you install Window 95 on Virtual PC 2007 as the disc is not being auto detected like for NT, XP, 2k.

    Thanks

dont know how vpc works but with vmware and 95 you need to use boot disk to install from cd.

Earlier versions (CD's) of Windows 95 were not bootable, and needed a boot disk.

What you need is here. Good luck and have fun, VM's always are, especially with legacy software.

Thanks I am using the Site you linked and I got to the place where it says "Install Windows 95:" step 16, I tried switching it to my CD Drive D where VPC is locked in the Physical drive, but every time I enter d: or d:\ or d:\setup or d:\setup.exe I get "Invalid Drive Specification" any ideas?

    Thanks

oh never mind the you must enter R: not D: though VPC says it drive 2. Must be a older o/s thing.
