Hi all, I am currently at work and my collegues computer wont boot.
She cant get passed the ' start windows normaly' screen. I've tried selecting 'startup repair' and it stil goes onto the same start windows normaly screen. I cant get into safe mode either.
I fear a hard drive failure and we don't have an IT guy on site.
Any help at all will be most valued.

I should add she is using Win7 64 bit on a dell laptop not sure of model number.

    Thanks in advance.

    Perrin.

Sorry, should have mentioned that we don't have any win 7 disks laying around.
The guy we got in to install at the time didn'e leave any.

    Thanks though. :)

Try F12 after power on, you should see Dell diagnostics and run the express test first (it should not take very long to run)

it's very likely you will need the IT administrator permission to touch that computer..

Yeh, well thats the problem, we don't have an IT guy as such. More a case of someone that someone knows but cant come in till some time next week, which aint really that good, so I was kinda hoping that the good members on NBR may be able to help.(as always)

    Cheers.
