as i'm waiting for my laptop i figure i would prepare my bootable usb for win 7 ultimate x64. why? because I bought a laptop with 2 HDD and no dvd drive.
anyways I went to this sight and downloaded the iso for win 7 ultimate x64. The one i downloaded also had service pack 1 too. Download Retail Windows 7 ISO from Official Website | Windows7hacker
I copied/moved that to my usb. Next I downloaded this and ran this. Microsoft Store Online
that's about it. It seems kind of easy but once i get my laptop and stick my usb in it will it prompt me to install my win 7?

You shouldn't copy the ISO to USB manually, the Microsoft tool does that for you.
Maybe it works anyway, I dunno. If not, format the USB drive and run the tool again without copying the file first.
As long as you set the computer to boot from USB it should work. -
set to boot? Do i have to set bios for the new sager? -

You need the Microsoft USB/DVD Tool to unpack the ISO file onto the USB flash drive
After it's unpacked onto the USB flash drive open the Sources folder and delete the ei.cfg file so the 1 USB flash drive can be used to install Basic,Home Premium,Professional or Ultimate.
I recommend downloading the newest f6flpy version of the Intel RST v11.1.0.1006 and unpack it to a new folder.Put that folder onto a 2nd USB flash drive and install the RST at the ADD DRIVER screen of the installation.

Remove both USB flash drives during the first reboot during the installation or else the install may start from the beginning again.
When the Windows 7 installation has finished then install the newest WHQL Intel Chipset driver/software v9.3.0.1020

I'd also download your wifi and ethernet drivers and have them handy, I've run into a few problems before where I've fresh installed windows and it hasn't got native drivers for either, was a complete headache with no other machine around.

I always keep my drivers on an external USB drive so that I don't have to worry about the reisntall.

Is there a program that can copy just drivers and put them on USB stick?
